The greatest inspiration comes from the honored founders
The truth is that two great institutions, the IMM and FOSTIMA came together to result in a dynamic institution. The original seven founders of FOSTIIMA, all IIM Ahmedabad alumni are Palani Kumar, Sunil Kala, Kamal Sharma, Jaithirth Rao, Anil Somani, Rajesh Kaura and Ranjan Sanghi. They build the FOSTIMA structure based on the IIMA model in terms of syllabus, policy and teaching methodology. A thorough screening for the admission process
Though everybody desires management, it is not a field easy to succeed in. Admission is restricted to graduates who have completed at least 12 years of school education and 3 years of college education in any discipline.
After the application form is duly filled and accompanied by the relevant documents, a fee of Rs.950 is paid. The documents include photocopies of certificates and mark sheets to prove school and college careers. Photocopies of CAT/XAT/ MAT/CMAT score sheets are also required. A self-attested passport size photograph has to be pasted on the form and two extra photographs need to be submitted.
The PGDM course commences in June. The factors considered are the academic records of school and college careers, scores in the CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT exams and how the candidate performs in the Group Discussion and Personal Interviews if the applicant is called. The selection criteria represent a weighted average of the candidate’s overall performance. Cut off points are usually above 50% marks in the graduation and above the 60th percentile in the CAT or XAT score.

Unlike many other courses, the practical management professional course requires intensive work experience in addition to school and college records. Such a student would benefit very well from the program since work experience develops organizational, analytical and logical skills far more than study alone.
